Dear For the Love of Red Guests,
Time has flown since our very special evening! I wanted to take a moment to THANK so many people who made the evening a smooth and seamless success!
The food was FANTASTIC! And there was plenty of it! A HUGE THANKS to all the restaurants and food vendors who participated and did an INCREDIBLE job! Many guests commented all evening about how great the spread was! Please continue to support all of our restaurant contributors, as they most certainly supported our community effort For the Love of Red! Thanks to:

A special thanks to Nahant Country Club who graciously hosted us! That venue was bustling for days prior to our event, with many employees helping to create the "Red" scene, whipping up the "She's Incredible" cocktail, and staffing the event. They did a terrific job! Thanks to Nahant Garden Club for making swift work of creating the beautiful flower arrangments for our tables. You ladies are wonderful! Balloonatics in Saugus donated 100 balloons to our event. Those balloons sure made the room look festive and red! Music by White Lightnin' kept the upbeat feel of the night rolling along! And, of course, so, so many very generous contributors to our terrific silent auction and raffle tables made the shopping and bidding exciting and fun.
There were loads of helping hands on deck and behind the scenes...so many volunteers did so much to ensure the night go off without a hitch...decoration makers/hangers, table arrangers and deliverers, food deliverers, poster makers, raffle tickets sellers, front reception greeters, auction room attendants, coat room attendants, computer/marketing whizzes who whipped up signage and gift certificates --and monitored the online bidding! Moms who held playdates so that other Moms could do some volunteering... All major roles in making the event happen. You are all so very thoughtful and generous with your time. Thank you!
And WOW, what a dessert table! Thanks to all those who contributed to a dessert table that would rival ANY I've ever seen! Lots of talented confectioners in our midst!
To the "Board" of For the Love of Red: Alexa Krauter, Yasmene Driscoll, Laura O'Keefe, Joanna O'Neil. Between new babies born, ER visits and illnesses, LOADS of "school's out" snow days in the midst of event planning, BOY oh BOY did they work hard! A great tribute to their dedication to Britte. Kudos, ladies!! And to our "Technical Team", Mary Jo Mitchell Angersbach and Jason Goodwin, who created the blogspot, and put our invitation wishes into words/action-by making it come "alive" with animation, color, and style. Such talent--and patience! You guys rock. Thank you.
The biggest thanks goes to each of you who attended this event in support of Britte and her family. There was a palpable, high spirit in the room that no amount of balloons and decorations could ever create. YOU brought the love and YOU brought the positive energy and YOU made that room ALIVE. It was fantastic (and humbling) to be a part of such a wonderful tribute of love for a friend and community spirit. Thanks so much for all of your love.

I’m not sure if there are words to express how grateful our entire family is for your love, support and kindness. My hope is that one day our children will be able to fully comprehend the true magnitude of what our loving family, amazing friends, and this one of a kind community has done for us. By your amazing example, they have learned what it means to be a friend, and what it means to truly care for those you love. Our family has been surrounded by such amazing examples of generosity, kindness, compassion, grace and love. I’ve been told that the best gift a child could ever receive is the example set by those in their lives. I feel blessed beyond words that my children are growing up in this community….with such amazing people.
Thank you again, for all of your generosity. “For the love of Red” will be an evening that I will never forget and will always remember how it impacted our family in so many wonderful ways, and hopefully will do so for many other families down the road.
