Emailable Bidding

Bidding for the silent auction component is now emailable! Given the tremendous interest in auction items available for this evening, we are including a limited number of items via email-bidding to widen our pool of auction bidders. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF AWESOME AUCTION ITEMS WE HAVE RECEIVED FOR THIS EVENT, ONLY THOSE ITEMS WITH A BID MINIMUM OF $150 ARE AVAILABLE HERE FOR EMAIL BIDDING! Those of you attending the event have loads more wonderful items to look forward to! Details are as follows:

Email YOUR HIGHEST BID to bidfortheloveofred@gmail.com with the subject title "My Maximum Bid for "XXX (the item)".

• In the body of the email, include your bid amount, name, and phone number. ALL BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THURSDAY AT 11:59PM.
• At the start of Friday's event, the Bid Sheet of any item that has received a bid via email will show that a bid has been made (NOTE: the bid amount will not be disclosed, simply that there is a bid on the item).
• Bids from event attendees will be taken through the course of the event from 6:30-9:30p.
• Once bidding is closed at 9:30p and bid sheets have been collected, the emailed maximum bid is disclosed.
• If the highest bid entered on the bid sheet by an event attendee is higher than the emailed bid, the event attendee wins.
• If the emailed bid is highest, the emailed bid amount is disclosed to the highest event attendee bidder and this event attendee has TWO CHOICES: 1) Outbid the emailed bid by the bid increment amount posted for the item OR 2.) rescind their bid to that highest bidder that submitted via email.

PLEASE, DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT HONOR YOUR BET! (Remember, all the proceeds are going to a cause we love!)

All Auction Winners must be able to PAY FOR/PICK UP THEIR ITEMS NO LATER THAN FEB 6, 2011 at Nahant Country Club.
